Please note all rates are flat fee for Cook, Lake, and Du Page Counties. Services in other counties are available, call for rates. You choose the type of service. Todd M. Martinson, Private Detective will never bill for services without prior authorization. Definitions and further explanation of fees are attached as well. All accounts with invoices that are paid within 30 days of the date of invoice are applied a credit of 1.5%. All invoices that are not paid within 60 days of the date of invoice accrue interest fees at 2% monthly. Standard Service $50.00 (Cook, Lake, Du Page Counties) Service attempts begin within 3 business days of receipt of process. A minimum of 5 service attempts are made at various and differing times. An affidavit is forwarded to you immediately upon disposition of the case, generally no later than 6 days prior to the court date. Rush Service $85.00 Service attempts begin within 24 hours of receipt of process. A minimum of 5 service attempts are made over the timeframe available for service. An affidavit is forwarded to you immediately upon disposition of the case, generally no later than 6 days prior to the court date. Same Day Service $135.00 All efforts are made to execute service of process immediately upon receipt with the goal being to effectuate service within 8 hours of receipt. Service with surveillance required $60 per hour + Standard Service Fee Service with surveillance is billed at $60 per hour with a two hour minimum, in addition to the Standard Service Fee. The minimum bill is $160. You specify how many hours of surveillance you wish to apply to the file, however costs will be minimized as much as possible if service can be effectuated using a smaller amount of hours. A minimum of 5 attempts are made in addition to the surveillance. Unique subterfuge and other types of service requiring on-going investigation $60 per hour of investigation + Standard Service Fee Such services requiring extensive investigation and those involving investigative subterfuges to set the individual up for service under pretenses are billed at $60 per hour of investigation, in addition to the Standard Service Fee. Skip Trace (Locate) Service $50.00 per subject if new information found $25.00 if no new information is found I utilize advanced state of the art methods for locating the current whereabouts of persons and their phone number if available. If I can find your subject the charge is $50.00 . If I am unable to produce new information for you the charge is reduced to $25.00 and in limited circumstances the charge is waived all together if I am unable to locate the subject. Advanced Skip Trace (Locate) Service requiring on-going Investigation $60.00 per hour of investigation In order to locate some individuals, on-going investigations must be performed. These types can often take 2 to 6 weeks. The average bill for the majority of these investigations is 3 to 6 hours of investigative time. If after the investigation the subject can still not be found, the charges are automatically reduced by 50% Document Fees Document fees are offered at cost and are generally nominal fees that sometimes must be associated with service of process and investigation. Such documents generally include, death records, official Secretary of State records, and other official government records for which there is a charge to obtain. Such records are generally range between $10 and $20. Document fees apply to all cases, if in the rare situations they must be obtained
